- Michigan Uniform Energy Code...Effective February 2005.
- MAHB (Michigan Association of Homebuilders) initiates a lawsuit against the state to postpone and dismiss activation of the Energy Code.
- October 2008: lawsuit dismissed and the Michigan Uniform Energy Code is now in effect.
- NorthWoods Energy is certified to qualify home builders for the Michigan Uniform Energy Code.

-According to the Michigan Uniform Energy Code, home builders can comply with the Energy Code for detached 1 and 2 family dwellings by-
*Homes can comply with the Energy code if they are rated with a HERS score of 85 or lower. |
