Official Audit Reports of a Northern Michigan Energy Rating (Click on the images to see larger pictures):
This home energy rating certificate is issued by NorthWoods Energy at the completion of a Michigan Energy Rating.
This rating was conducted by a Michigan Energy Rater. The report shows energy consumption and environmental emissions that are produced by this particular house.
This data shows the energy consumption by certain features of a house. Home owners and home builders can evaluate their homes energy consumption by having a HERS accredited Michigan Energy Rater perform an energy rating.
This Energy Star Report was conducted by a NorthWoods HERS Energy Rater. Notice the Energy Star reference home versus the actual rating. Also see the official certificate (below) given to an Energy Star Home. This is the same Energy Star Rating as below but it is a different document.
This certificate is an official certificate given to a home that gets an Energy Star Home Rating. You will notice that this home did not achieve the EPA requirement for an Energy Star Home. This climate zone requires a HERS index of 80 or lower. This was an existing older home before renovations.
Blower Door Test: This picture shows the results from a blower door test and the ACH (Air Changes/hr). The less air infiltrating, the lower your homes HERS index score.
